A Movement Class For Children and Adults With Special Needs Ages 7-adult! 10 session class Does your special needs child or adult love to dance? This class is a great way for children and adults with special needs to get involved in an extracurricular activity while improving motor skills, confidence, and socialization. Dance can also be a unique and effective way to reach students with special needs because it is nonverbal. Through simple patterns, sequencing, and repetition, students will learn the basics of Kathak dance. Some creative movement and yoga are incorporated into class too. Kathak, the classical Indian dance form of Northern India has varied influences, ranging from the ancient Kathakars, or traveling storytellers, to the court dancers from the Mughal era. Duration: 30 minutes -> 2 students 45 minutes -> 3 students 1 hour -> 4+ students
